Prizegiving (September 29th 2022)
/The 2023 AGS Prizegiving was held at the University of Auckland’s Fisher & Paykel Auditorium. After being cancelled last year due to the COVID-19 lockdown, there was much excitement when students were able to receive certificates and prizes in person again this year. Our President, Courtney Sole addressed the audience with an inspiring speech about her own journey with learning German and becoming a professional translator. Ten schools from around Auckland participated in this year’s competition and approximately 250 students, parents and teachers attended the ceremony.

Dinner at Der Metz (September 18th 2022)
/Our first dinner of the year had a great turnout at an iconic German restaurant in Auckland. A large group of people with a variety of German speaking levels attended. This was a great opportunity for those wanting to practice their German speaking, as well as others who wanted to connect with people who come from a German background. What a great way to bond over yummy food!
