The Auckland Goethe Society is hosting a screening of the film "Transit" by Christian Petzold!
“Transit” (2018), directed by Christian Petzold, is based on the 1944 novel of Jewish-German writer Anna Seghers and shows what it felt like to live through World War II. The film follows a refugee as he attempts to escape from a Fascist state by taking on the identity of a dead writer. The film has been highly acclaimed and was chosen to compete for a Golden Bear award.
The duration of the film is 1 hour and 42 minutes and will be shown with English subtitles.
