The 3rd of October 2020 marked 30 years since the reunification of East and West Germany. To commemorate the occasion, the Auckland Goethe Society is hosting a special screening of the film "Westen".   

This award-winning film tells the story of an East German mother who emigrates with her son to the Federal Republic of Germany in the late 1970s. She wants to start a new life in the west... but this proves harder than she imagined. The film is 1 hour 42 mins long and will be shown with English subtitles.
