Austrian writer Valerie Kattenfeld is travelling around the world and putting her experiences into words. Currently, she's Down Under exploring the Pacific, and the next leg of her journey takes her to New Zealand.

At our event, she will read and recount her experiences as an Austrian traveller in Samoa, which is the current stop of her journey before coming to New Zealand.

Valerie is an Austrian writer, journalist and theatre director. She is currently on a one year journey around the world and is keeping a travelogue that will be turned into a book. Valerie A sample of her writing can be read here:

The event will be held in both German and English with readings being done in German, but moderation done in English.

As always, there will be drinks and nibbles. Non-members are asked for a gold coin koha.
