This year marks the 25th anniversary of German reunification. With the generous support of the Goethe-Institut, we are showing a range of films about the former East Germany and the post-1989 'Wende'.
Sonnenallee is a 1999 comedy by Leander Haußmann about teenagers growing up in East Germany in the 1970s. They live on the Sonnenallee - an actual street in Berlin that before the fall of the Wall was bisected by a border crossing.
We will be screening the film in Te Puna Wananga at the Epsom campus of the University of Auckland. Entry is free for members and $5 for non-members.
